Nothing Phone 1 Overview

Design:

Nothing has got a new look for the first in the smartphone market. It comes with a transparent back, the same as Apple iPhone 12. due to its transparent design at back its eye-catching for all users. it has got a straight-sided metal frame, rounded corners, flat front and back, and dual rear camera placement. we can feel a premium feel while using Nothing 1 and it also has tactile physical buttons which add a more premium feel while using. Nothing 1 comes with IP53 certified rating against dust and water so you can use this smartphone in water without any hesitation.

Glyph Interfaces:

Nothing Phone 1 is packed with glyph interfaces at back. a series of 900 white LEDs arranged across the phone’s back in a unique setup work as a Notification light. Nothing has included five light strips and 900 LEDs that can work together to notify you of coming notifications like incoming calls,  charging process, and many more. This phone is fully customizable in terms of notification. You can easily customize lightning patterns for certain notifications. Talking about Flashlight on this Phone, it is powered by a glyph interface which is soft light. we can easily shoot video and capture photos in low light because of soft light rather than a single LED light.

Display:

Nothing Phone 1 comes with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ compatibility and 10-bit color support. The edges are round but have some tiny bezels distributed properly on all sides. This phone has a punch-hole front-facing camera at the top left corner of the screen. This phone also comes with optical in-display fingerprint support which fits low and close to the bottom edge of the panel.to help with power efficiency the refresh rate is also dynamic which means this smartphone automatically switches up and down in frequency in terms of phone usage. to power, up touch response, this phone is packed with 240Hz touch response with an add-on to 120Hz refresh rate which provides better touch response while playing games.

Performance:

Nothing has provided wireless and reverse wireless charging in this phone. Nothing Phone 1 is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset. Point to remember Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset does not support wireless and reverse wireless charging by default so Qualcomm has to design a new chipset for this smartphone. It is featured with an eight-core CPU with four performance (ARM Cortex-A78) and four efficiencies (ARM Cortex-A55) cores. Talking about graphics in this phone, an Adreno 642L GPU is used and X53 5G modem for connectivity. Nothing chosen is a mid-range chipset rather than high-end because it offers a better balance of price, performance, and power consumption for all types of users.

Wireless Charging:

This smartphone comes with wireless and reverses wireless charging with the support of 15W wireless charging. Reverse charging is a feature to charge TWS earbuds and other accessories with a 5W reverse charging facility. The phone comes with a 4500mAh battery capacity with 33W fast charging. It took 30 minutes to charge this smartphone to 50%.

Software:

Nothing Phone 1 comes with Android skin named Nothing OS which is the same as Stock Android OS. This OS mainly focuses on delivering a fast, smooth, and personal experience. It also provides three years of OS updates, and four years of security updates guaranteed.

Camera:

moving on to the camera, this phone has 2 camera setup at back. both cameras at back come with 50 megapixels 1/1.56′′ Sony IMX766 sensor with f/1.88 aperture and support for OIS and EIS dual stabilization. The main Sony IMX766 camera sensor can be found in flagship phones like Xiaomi 12 and in the midrange, so you can get better photos and videos from this Nothing Phone 1. Joining on front-facing camera it is powered with 16 MegaPixels camera Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies. while taking about camera Glyph Interfaces add plus point in this sector because it helps to record video in the nighttime without any disturbance.

Availability of Nothing Phone 1 in Nepal:

well talking about the Availability of this phone, we have not gotten official confirmation to date. There are no any Official distributors of Nothing Phone in Nepal hope so we would get it in the upcoming days. on the other hand, people have started pre-booking of this phone from Third-party distribution and from India or other countries too.

This phone comes in 3 variants 8/128 GB,8/256 GB,12/256 GB, and all variants have different price tags starting from EUR 469 or INR 32,999 for the base 8/128GB variant. The 8/256GB will be EUR 499 or INR 35,999  and the top-of-the-line 12/256GB variant will be EUR 549 or INR 38,999.
